DAY 3: JUST BE WORSHIP

 

In Romans 12:1, the Bible says to offer our bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God- this is your true and proper worship. When you think of the word sacrifice what is the first thing that comes to your mind? Normally when you think of sacrifice you think of a loss or something you give up. Those words usually give a negative connotation. For some, the option of sacrifice is a choice they stay away from. Have you ever asked yourself why it is called a living sacrifice? The problem with a living sacrifice is that the living sacrifice can choose to crawl off of the alter :) When you choose to think of sacrifice as an act of worship to God versus a loss, your outlook changes. Worship is defined as an action or attitude that gives worth or value to something. As believers, when we choose a healthy lifestyle we are saying to God that I am on-purpose giving my body to you as an act of worship. We are saying that even though I don't feel like working out or eating healthy, I am still going to worship and please you through my healthy lifestyle choices. As you begin your day, think of ways to worship God through your food choices and exercise.  

 

PRAYER:
God,

Today I ask that you show me the things that are pleasing to you. Give me strength to worship You today through my exercise and my healthy eating. I thank You that my life is a living testimony of how You have helped me bring glory to You through my body.
