Wow!!! We have finally made it to Day 21. You have ran this race and fought the good fight of faith. We have to take the time out today to thank God for giving us the strength, power, and grace to complete this challenge. Our prayer is that you have recognized some of the ways that may have hindered you from living a Just Be Fit lifestyle and allowed God to transform your heart, mind, and soul. You have been so faithful these past 21 days and even though you didn't always do things correctly, God still knew your heart. We believe that if your prayer was to be free from medicine or to lose weight, that God has saw your faithfulness and he is ready for you to receive your manifestation. The Bible says whom the Son has set free is surely free indeed. You are free from the idols of food and the mentality of not having time to take care of your temple. Don't allow Satan to take you back to your past. It is God who gives you the power to be free and to remain free. So you may be wondering, "Where do I go from here?" Below you will find the answer to some of your questions.

How do I remain free from worrying about the scale?
The scale does not define who you are and how God looks at you. Don't make the scale an idol. How do you know if you have made the scale an idol? If you weigh yourself and it affects your outlook on who you are, consumes you, or depresses you then maybe the scale has become an idol. I do understand that you need a reality check every now and then but don't let the scale define you. You are more than a number.

How should I continue to eat?
We gave you guidelines to go by for 21 days so that you can monitor what was going in and out of your body. The guidelines for you may not be how you choose to live your daily life, but you need to take the time to ask God what your healthy lifestyle change should look like. God knows what works best for you and the reason you were so successful this time was because you relied on God.

What should I do for my workouts?
You are more than welcome to continue to follow us on our Youtube link/TheBridgeLLC. We are believing God for open doors of opportunity to continue to share workouts with you. We also are working on creating a DVD for you all as well. Keep us in your prayers that we find favor to do what God has set for us to accomplish. We are entering the last days of our challenge. So what does it really mean to Just Be Fit? Just Be Fit is a program created to implement a permanent healthy lifestyle change. This program has challenged us not only physically but spiritually as well. We have learned that we can do all things through Christ who strengthens us.  God has given us the strength to stay disciplined after this program so that we can continue to present our bodies holy unto God. We hope that through this program, you understand that anything without the help of  God will cause you to be unsuccessful. God has given us the strength to trample over snakes and scorpions, so he is well able to help us say no to a second serving of sweet potato pie. God's power is always made perfect in our weakness. We are so proud of how far you have come and pray that God continue to bless you after this program ends.

*We have a surprise for you on tomorrow(Super Bowl) so be sure to check in.

When was the last time you looked in the mirror and just stopped to admire what you saw?  Those beautiful dimples, those untoned arms, or your curly and wavy hair.  Or maybe you have a smile that can brighten up the dimmest of rooms.  Whatever it is that God has blessed you with take some time out today to just look in the mirror and admire you. We are all beautifully and wonderfully created in the image of God according to Genesis 1:27, so we all have the best genes known to man.  So today take a few seconds or a few minutes to just admire yourself in the mirror and tell yourself how beautiful or handsome you are.

And after you finish looking at yourself pull out your phone take a selfie of you flexing your renewed bodies that you have worked so hard for over the past few weeks, and upload your pictures to your social media and tag us #Justbefit21 #JBFChallenge or #Justbefit.  We want to see your progress!!!!

Are you faithful?

Faithfulness is defined as being the concept of unfailingly remaining loyal to someone or something and putting that loyalty into consistent practice, regardless of extenuating circumstances.

So now that you know what being faithful is, do you consider yourself faithful? Can God trust you with the upkeep of your body so that it can be used to uplift His kingdom? To be honest our bodies do not belong to us. God is just so good to us that He has graciously allowed us to rent our bodies for a while, but one day we will have to return them to Him. When we go to Hertz and rent a car for the weekend we make sure that we take exceptional care of that rental car because we know that if we turn it back in damaged then we will have to pay extra fees on top of the initial cost to rent the car. So if we are so concerned about a car, why do we not treat the bodies that we have been blessed with equal or greater value? Is your body not worth more than a pile of metal? Let's make sure that we are showing God our faithfulness by keeping our bodies maintained by eating right, getting our yearly check ups, exercising on a regular basis, and everything else that it takes to keep our bodies running smoothly.

Today before you put anything in your mouth, before you say I'm too tired to excercise, etc. ask yourself....Am I showing God my faithfulness?

There is such a strong power in being thankful for the things in your life. I hear people all the time (myself included) complain about all of the things that are going wrong in their lives but never take the time to be thankful for the positive things in life. I remember one day looking at an old photo and thought to myself "Hmmm, I wish I could get back to that weight." When I think back on how I felt during that time I wished I could be smaller then. We often take so much inventory on how we wish things could be different spiritually, physically, and emotionally. We can eliminate a lot of stress in our lives if we just take the time to give God thanks in our lives for what is going good. 1 Thessalonians 5:18 say "Give thanks in all circumstances, for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus (NIV). Robert Emmons, a psychology professor at the University of California foutd that those who adopt an "attitude of gratitude: as a permanent state of mind experienced many health benefits.

So how do you begin to be thankful you might ask?

  1. Focus your attention on outward things vs. inward- Remember that life is not always about you. Rather focus on how you can help someone else reach their goals
  2. Be mindful of what you already have- Find the things that you are  blessed to have and continue to thank God for those things
  3. Keep a positive mindset- Whatever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, if there be any virtue, and if their be any praise, then think on these things (Philippians 4:8)

Patience is a virtue and sometimes that is a virtue that we don't like to deal with. John 15: 5 says "I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing (NIV). When you think about the growth process of any fruit tree it takes time to develop.  A lot  of times we see God as our genie, versus our Gardener. As Christians, we expect God to give us quick results. We want the final product but do not want to allow the growth process to happen. When it comes to seeing the fruits of your labor, how patient are you? Yes, we are believing God to deliver us from medicine, unhealthy eating habits, etc. but we also have to remember that we developed an unhealthy lifestyle over a period of time. Our prayer is that you live a healthy life not only for 21 days but for a lifetime, so that your fruits of labor can bless others. Take the time today to ask God to continue to give you patience on this journey. He sees your heart and he is waiting to help you.

Father, I thank you that I developing patience during this challenge. I come to you and ask that you deposit in me the fullness of your Spirit so that I may bear much fruit to others. Give me the patience that I need to finish this challenge strong. I thank you that I have patience now. In Jesus Name.

How patient have you been when it comes to drinking your gallon of water? Have you given up because you feel it is too challenging. Ask God to help you in this area and to give you new inventive ways to prosper concerning your water intake.

We have reached the last week of our 21 day challenge. It is not important how you started the challenge but rather how you finish. As we enter this week remember to focus on the long term goal of our healthy lifestyle change versus the now events. Satan goal is to make us feel like we  are missing out and only focus on what's happening in our lives now.  Hebrews 12:1 says to let us lay aside every weight which so easily ensnares us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us. Don't let a slip up or bad weekend hinder you from your main focus which is to live a healthy lifestyle. I want you to take the time and ask yourself did you get distracted? Who told you that you couldn't finish this challenge out strong? Who's voice are you listening to? (Day 10) If you have gotten off focus, redirect your attention on making healthy choices to live a Just Be Fit life.

God I thank You for bringing me back in remembrance that my daily choices are an act of worship unto You. I choose today to not quit and to finish this challenge strong. Holy Spirit I ask that you continue to help me live a healthy life so that I may bring glory unto You

Really push yourselves this week. Our goal this week is to try to do each workout twice. Yes, twice. We want to finish out strong.  I know that some of you have stepped on the scale but remember we won't be able to check our weight until the end of the challenge.

Whenever you begin lifting weights,  in order to properly build your muscles you have to take the time to let your muscles rest. The lack of rest can lead to improper sleep, decrease in strength, and future injuries. Rest is not only beneficial to your body, but your mind and spirit as well. Matthew 11:28 says Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For some it may be a challenge to rest but remember God says to come to Him and he will give you rest for your soul. Take time today and ask God what are you unsettled with in your soul and ask him to give you rest about that situation.

Father, I thank you for your word today. Your word says to come to you with anything that may be causing me not to rest. I ask that you reveal to me how I need to rest and I thank you that I have your rest in Jesus Name.

Would you believe me if I said when you are at your weakest physically that you are at your strongest spiritually?

In 2 Corinthians 12:10 it says,” That is why, for Christ's sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong.”

You may be going through spells of weakness or withdrawals while on this fitness journey.  Your body is used to that morning cup of coffee and honey bun, or that Pepsi at lunch.  But I challenge you to stay strong and be of good courage.   When we began this journey Tiffany and I said that it would not be easy, but it would be worth it.  See it’s when we are at our weakest point and in our most difficult situations that we rely on our Heavenly Father the most.  When we remove self and insert Him, then and only then is God able to show His strength within us.

So when you feel like you are missing those unhealthy things, or you are doing the workout of the day and it gets tough, ask God to “Just Be My Strength," and remember that you are in just the right place for God’s strength to show up and take you through to the next level.

Rob Hill Sr. wrote a poem called "Daddy Stop Dreaming." In the poem, the daddy told his son that he stopped dreaming because he felt his time to dream had passed. The Daddy mentioned how he never had the time to do things like dream, because he had bills to pay and debt to cancel. As I read this poem, I began to think about the parents in this challenge and their influence. As a parent, what example are you showing your children? Maybe you don't have children but you have someone who looks up to you. Have you given them false hope to live a healthy life due to your lack of time to take care of your body. Too busy to cook, too busy to workout, too busy for YOU. Are your choices giving your children or the person who looks up to you hope that they can live a life free from medicine or a life free from obesity. Children base a lot of what they can and can't accomplish from what parents show and tell them. Wives, what impact are you making on your husbands?  Husbands, are you leading your family to live a healthy life? Whatever the case may be, be an example to others that they too can live a healthy life.

Father, your word says that to whom much is given, much is required. I thank your for the privilege to be an example to ________________(children, grandchildren, wife, husband, etc.). I pray that you give me the Grace to represent you well as I lead others towards a healthy lifestyle.

Hebrews 11:7 "By faith Noah, being warned by God concerning events as yet unseen, in reverent fear constructed an ark for the saving of his household. By this he condemned the world and became an heir of the righteousness that comes by faith."

Have you ever heard the term,”there’s always warning before destruction?"  Well just like God warned Noah, He also warns us before we reach the point of destruction (obesity, sickness, disease) and we end up having to become reactive to our situation rather than being PROACTIVE.  Some ways that we can be more proactive with our health is simply by choosing to skip out on having dessert with every meal.  Instead, have desert once a week as a reward.  Another proactive decision would be to take time on Sunday to prepare your healthy meals for a couple days so that when everyone at the office is ordering something unhealthy, you can already be prepared to make the healthy choice.

Just like Noah, we have to listen to the warnings from God for our lives so much that we proactively construct a healthy ark of protection around our bodies and what we put into it, so that we can essentially be healthy enough to carry out the will of God for our lives.

The Bible says in John 10:4-5 (NIV) says, "the Shepard goes before the sheep and they(sheep) follow him, because they know his voice. But they will never follow a stranger; in fact, they will run away from him because they do not recognize a stranger's voice." As Christians, we are a lot like the sheep. Although things in life may look familiar, we really never know the journey that God has for us. God is our Shepard and he has our life planned out for us especially when it comes to living a healthy lifestyle. Our job as Christians is to recognize His voice and to not be distracted by other voices. So how does that look in our everyday life?

Listening to God's voice in the area of healthy living comes during a business meeting and choosing to skip the free dessert--it's the choice to continue to stay on this program when you feel like quitting. We REALLY have to dig deep to hear God's voice when it comes to exercising on a day that we really don't feel like it. There will be times where we have to go into the valley of self discipline, because His directions don't always come in the frame that we expect. Satan understands that if he can continuously get you off course in the area of healthy living then he can stop you from fulfilling the calling on your life due to health issues. God's voice says that you are an overcomer and that you can do all things through Christ who strengthens you. When you hear negative thoughts saying that the program is too hard or that you can't finish, remember the stranger is the one who is speaking and not the Shepard. Through experience, you will learn to hear God's voice clearly. When the temptation comes for you to get off course, say to yourself, "The Lord is my Shepard and I will follow his voice to live a healthy lifestyle."

Whenever you begin a fitness program, the excitement of the program can easily fade as the program progresses. For some of you, the beginning of this challenge was either challenging or very easy. If you fell under the category where this challenge was very easy, don't be surprised if you begin to hit a plateau or become frustrated. I have seen a number of people who began this challenge, but eventually lost enthusiasm due to frustration from not seeing immediate results or hitting a plateau. The Bible says the end of a matter is better than its beginning, and patience is better than pride (Ecclesiastes 7:8). It's not how you begin a program, but rather how you finish that makes the difference. Frustration has the power to make us fall because we feel that if we make a mistake that we can't continue the challenge. Don't allow Satan to make you feel that if you make one mistake than you can't finish and definitely don't cover up one mistake with another mistake (eating something fried and you feeling like you might as well eat bad the rest of the day because you already made one mistake). One thing that we always have to remember and that is no matter how strong we are, we will always have the potential to fail. God's strength is always made strong in our weakness, so we as Christians have to always rely on the Holy Spirit to give us strength beyond our own abilities.

Father I thank you that I have your strength to help me in the tough times of my healthy lifestyle change. Please help me to be patient when I am frustrated. Teach me to keep my trust in You and to remember it is You who is able to keep me from falling. I thank you in advance that I walking out my healthy lifestyle.

know that some of you might have had some challenges coming over the weekend with sticking to your nutritional plan. Don't get frustrated and give up. It is a process and I  know that you have the power to finish this race strong.

Portion control is very important in your fitness journey because it helps you to set boundaries to your daily eating. There are often times where we feel like we are eating healthy, but we are way out of our boundaries. Restaurants are now realizing that the larger the portions, the more people will return to the restaurant. Our goal in this challenge is to make you more aware of your food choices as well as your portions. We prepared our foods on yesterday, but there are times when you may not be able to eat the foods you have prepared such as unexpected business meeting, last minute teacher meeting, etc. Snacks that are prepared in advance are a great way to help you stay focused. If you ever happen to be at a restaurant and you notice that the portions are larger than usual, go ahead and ask for a to go box and place the extra portions in the to go box in advance. This little tip will help you to stay discipline and not overeat. The beginning of the week always set the tone for the remainder of the week. Placing your prep foods in reusable containers will help you stay inside of your portion control. One way to help you know if you are using the right portions is the Plate Method. If you take a plate, half of the plate should be vegetables. You then will divide the other half side of the plate in half. 1/4 of the plate should be your lean meats and the other should be your healthy carb. This 21 day challenge is built to help you try new ways of thinking. As you begin your week as the Holy Spirit to help you when it comes to your portions.

Father I thank you that you have given me the strength to finish this week off strong. Holy Spirit I ask that you reveal to me food choices or meals that lead me to gluttony rather than a healthy balanced diet. I thank you that I am a healthy living witness for you and that i live my life holy unto you.

In order to be successful in making healthy lifestyle changes we need to embrace the powerful secret of loving ourselves. We sometimes can get so caught up and focused on others that we lose sight of ourselves. The thing that made Mary stand out to Jesus was that she focused on him and not on the troubles of the world. So what does troubles look like you might ask? Troubles come in many forms such as worrying about a deadline at work, focusing on your children and spouse, or even being so caught up in ministry--whatever your troubles look at like that time for you. If you have ever been on an airplane, the stewardess tells the passengers on the plane that in case of an emergency to place their own mask on before assisting others. It is impossible to fulfill Christ's command to love our neighbor as ourselves, in the absence of godly self-love. In this challenge, I hope that you take time to remove any guilt or stress in your life that relates to other people. Take time for yourself by doing things you love and enjoy.

Today is a day of rest mentally and physically. Take the time to enjoy church and your family. Go for a bike ride, take a walk in the park, or just take the time to sit around the dinner table to talk.

Today is the day that you prep your food for the week. Do an inventory on your pantry, refrigerator, and freezer and create a grocery list to prep your meals for the week.

As Christians, when we look at the different sins that are listed, we naturally tend to look at some sins higher than others. It's amazing how so many Christians look at fornication, murder, etc. as bad sin, but they never take the time to look at gluttony or self indulgence as a sin. Have you ever heard someone say "Oh,  I have been doing this for years, I can't change now."? So many people have become comfortable with their sin of overeating and self indulgence that they have become numb to their bad choices. Food for some has become an idol that they worship. In Deuteronomy, the Bible said "Jesherun grew fat and kicked. Filled with food he became heavy and sleek. He abandoned God. Maybe you have not abandoned God spiritually, but have you abandoned God when it comes to food? What food items have you made an idol? What is the one thing that you said you could never give up? I understand very well how hard it may be to say no to something we have said yes to for so long. Remember it is God who gives us the power and grace to overcome. Say no to the things that are holding you captive.

For some of you all, it may be a challenge to say no to fried foods and junk foods. But remember, you can ask God for grace for the weekend. Say no to bad foods, and yes to God's help.

Nike took this phrase, but they understood that sometimes you can't think about it, you just have to do it. For some, the thought of working out on a Friday seems absurd, but the Bible tells us to be ye doers of the Word. What does the Word say? --Just Do It. Okay, not really but it was worth a try. Psalm 138:3 says, "When the day I cried out, you answered me and made me bold with strength in my soul." What is our soul? Our soul is our mind, will, and emotions.  So, if we as Christians cry out to God to help us with our exercise and eating today, even though we don't want to, He will change our will and give our mind and will strength to honor him with our body.

ather, I thank You thank my thoughts are in line with Your Word today and I pray that You strengthen my soul today.

Today we are tackling abs. This is a trouble spot for most. Remember that you can't spot train, meaning only work your abs. Fat is what's covering that six pack, so you can target that with your healthy eating.

Have a great weekend!

The Bible states that in order for you to be transformed you have to renew your mind. The transformation at the beginning of any lifestyle change seems to come easy on the first day. The last Just Be Fit program we had over 120 people to sign up but finished with only half of the people that started. Why you might ask? The answer to that question is that some of them didn't renew their minds. The Bible says as a man thinketh is his heart so is he (Prov. 23:7). If you think that this process is too hard, then guess what--it will be. How many times have we found ourselves  starting to change our old habits to only finding ourselves repeating them?

So how do we as Christians transform our bodies?

By Renewing Our Minds.

You have to see yourself off of medicine and enjoying exercise. You have to meditate on what God's word says about you. You can do all things through Christ who strengthens you. You are an overcomer. You are healed. Write down what God has said about you in His word and make it visible to your eyes daily. As you meditate on God's Word, your mind will be changed and your body will transform in the process. God knows your heart and He sees your effort, so trust that He will see you through the entire way.

God I thank You for Your Word. Your Word says that I am healed. Your Word says that I am an overcomer. I thank You that my body is being transformed by the renewing of my mind.

In Romans 12:1, the Bible says to offer our bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God- this is your true and proper worship. When you think of the word sacrifice what is the first thing that comes to your mind? Normally when you think of sacrifice you think of a loss or something you give up. Those words usually give a negative connotation. For some, the option of sacrifice is a choice they stay away from. Have you ever asked yourself why it is called a living sacrifice? The problem with a living sacrifice is that the living sacrifice can choose to crawl off of the alter :) When you choose to think of sacrifice as an act of worship to God versus a loss, your outlook changes. Worship is defined as an action or attitude that gives worth or value to something. As believers, when we choose a healthy lifestyle we are saying to God that I am on-purpose giving my body to you as an act of worship. We are saying that even though I don't feel like working out or eating healthy, I am still going to worship and please you through my healthy lifestyle choices. As you begin your day, think of ways to worship God through your food choices and exercise.

Today I ask that you show me the things that are pleasing to you. Give me strength to worship You today through my exercise and my healthy eating. I thank You that my life is a living testimony of how You have helped me bring glory to You through my body.

We are now free from anything holding us back, so let’s now talk about YOU! What is your purpose for wanting to live a fit and healthy life? If the answer to your question is to only look better and to satisfy your desires, then let me add something else to you thinking. God created each person for a purpose. Before you were born he had a purpose and a plan for your life (Jeremiah 29:11).  In order for us to walk out that God given purpose, we have to live a lifestyle that will not hinder our mental or physical health. Many people are destroyed by health related illnesses, because of a lack of knowledge. Everything that we need is in the Word of God. Could it be that maybe the reason you started a program in the past and never finished it, was because you did not stand on God’s Word to help you? The Bible says that His ways are not our ways, His thoughts are not our thoughts (Isaiah 55:8). The difference between your fitness program last time versus this time is God. Twenty one days to the average person seems almost impossible to see life changing results, but the Bible says that with man it may be impossible, but with God all things possible (Matthew 19:26). This program will show you some natural ways that may work for you and some that may not work for your specific body. In everything that you do, God will show you what specifically works for your body and lead you to a total transformation.  NO matter where God leads you, remember to Trust in Him.

God, I thank you that you are an awesome God. As I begin my day, I will trust that You will help me and guide me to live a healthy life.

I know for some trying to get a gallon of water a day may be a challenge. Remember to Trust God to help you with this process.
